The Care Management Institute (CMI), formerly named the Case Management Institute, was born out of the collective thoughts and ideas of AAMCN members and the Board of Directors in an attempt to form a collaboration and forum for
the open exchange of ideas.
-
Our Vision
The vision of the CMI is to link Care Management to all aspectsof managed care. We want to clearly define the differences andsimilarities between various Care Management locations (i.e.Hospitals, Managed Care Organizations, TPAs, etc.).
- Our Mission and Goal
The mission of the CMI is to define the role of the Care Manager, which is primarily a clinically trained patient advocate striving to deliver the best care at the right time and in the most cost-efficient quality outcomes.
The goal of the CMI is to provide educational and networking opportunities for care management nurses from all different sectors of the healthcare delivery system through live training programs, an e-discussion group, and CEU articles focused on care management in AAMCN publications.
