Richmond, VA—The American Association of Managed Care Nurses (AAMCN), the National Association of Managed Care Physicians (NAMCP) and the American Association of Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems (AAIHDS) announces that the second annual Spring Managed Care Forum will be held at Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, FL on May 3-4, 2007. This conference will focus on Health Management and Genomics and Biotechnology issues.
The Health Management Institute was recently developed in part by Dr. Bill Williams and its mission and purpose will be incorporated into this program. “The Health Management Institute (HMI) is a division of NAMCP and its mission is to promote prevention and health risk assessments (HRA), develop tools for patients and physicians that will be used to monitor and manage chronic disease and proactively promote patients becoming active participants in their care using the physician as a consultant,” states Williams.
Williams is also the Executive Vice President of the Genomics Biotech Institute (GBI), which will be incorporated into this program as well. The mission of GBI, which is also a division of NAMCP, is to bring medical directors, pharmacy directors and case managers together to discuss the new emerging field of genomics and biotechnology and the implications in the delivery of care. The mission will be accomplished through conferences such as the Spring Managed Care Forum, as well as other educational venues, publications and research.
Attendees at this conference will include nurses, medical directors, physicians and healthcare administrators with health systems, integrated healthcare delivery systems, PHOs and IPAs. The Program Agenda and Registration information can be found at www.aamcn.org. Early Bird specials are being offered throughout the next month. There will be an exhibit hall consisting of numerous pharmaceutical companies, disease management companies, software companies and other companies that provide medical services and products.
