American Association of Managed Care Nurses (AAMCN) Announces New President Sheryl Riley, RN, OCN, CMCN
Richmond, Virginia– The American Association of Managed Care Nurses (AAMCN) announces the appointment of Sheryl Riley, RN, OCN, CMCN. Riley assumes her presidency on January 1, 2007 through December 31, 2007.
Riley has been an active member of AAMCN since 1996. She has spent the past 3 years of her membership as a member of the Board of Directors. While involved with the Board of Directors, Riley has assisted in forming the Case Management Institute, spoken at annual conferences, helped plan AAMCN programs, and is also a mentor in the AAMCN Mentoring Program, which was launched in September, 2006.
Riley has worked in case management for over 15 years with expertise in Home Care, Home Infusion, Hospital Nursing, Managed Care, Disease Management, Rehabilitation/Exercise Therapy, Computer Software, Administration and Teaching. She also owns her own consulting business. Currently, Riley is Vice President Program Development and Health Strategies with Enhanced Care Initiatives. She received an Associates Degree in Applied Science from Somerset County College and is certified in both Oncology and Managed Care Nursing. “I enjoy sharing my experiences with nurses looking to change positions or who are looking for some guidance,” stated Riley.
Preceding Riley as President was Shelly Martin, BSN, MHSA, CPHQ, CMCN, CCM . “I pledge to you that Sheryl’s knowledge, diversity and experience will lead AAMCN into new challenges,” stated Martin.
